The Secret to a Fulfilled Life
Philippians 1:3-11
I. Putting God first brings joy in our lives – vv. 3-8.
A. Personally – Doing God’s work can be a source of the greatest joy in the life of a believer – vv. 3-4.
B. Communally – God’s mindset – love for the whole world – a sense of connectedness and a secret to success in ministry – live outside of self – vv. 5-8
II. Putting God first enables us to fulfill our mission on earth – vv. 9-11.
A. Loving God = Putting Him first --- results in – v. 9.
B. Greater Understanding of God & His will --- results in – v. 9.
C. Wiser Living --- results in – v. 10.
D. Growth in sanctification --- results in – vv. 10-11.
E. Glorifying God = fulfilling our mission – vv. 10-11.
Fruit of righteousness – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control (Gal.5:22-23).
The secret to a fulfilled life lies with the right priorities.
