Chapter 4 – secure mind

I.                   Christian joy can and should be chosen – v. 4.

A.    Christian joy is rooted in the Lord.

B.     Christian joy can be chosen.

II.                Christian gentleness is brought forth when we realize the Lord’s near return – v. 5.

III.             Christian peace comes when we bring our anxieties to God – vv. 6-7.

A.    A child of God needs not be anxious for anything.

B.     When anxiety overwhelms, a believer is to take it to God.

C.     His peace is promised to protect the heart and mind of the believer.

D.    His peace helps to focus the believer’s mind on Christ.

When we choose to rejoice in all circumstances, others benefit from our gentleness and we reap His unexplainable peace.
