OUTLINE
A fulfilling Christian life involves both a continual process of dying to self and choosing to serve Christ alone.
I. All who seek Christ are guaranteed to find Him – vv. 20-22.
II. A fulfilling Christian life begins with death – vv. 23-25.
a. Exaltation often comes through pain – v. 23
b. Multiplication can only come through death – v. 24.
c. Gaining eternal life happens through losing self and vice versa – v. 25
III. The exclusive nature of serving Christ – v.26
a. The desire must be followed by commitment – v. 26.
b. Shared destiny with Christ is guaranteed to those who follow Him – v. 26.
c. God the Father will honor those who serve Christ – v.26.
