Endure Steadfastly in Faithful Devotion! (#6 - Philadelphia)

Revelation 3:7-13

  1. Jesus knows how much we can handle and leads us right to the edge of our strength – vv. 7-9.
    1. Jesus’ divinity enables Him to know us like no one else – v. 7.
      1. Jesus is the Holy One
      2. Jesus is the True One
      3. Jesus is the One who has the authority over our circumstances
    2. Jesus allows specific opportunities into our lives for His glory – v. 8.
    3. Jesus knows our limits – v. 8.
    4. Jesus appreciates our faithfulness – v. 8.
    5. Jesus controls the obstacles in our way – vv. 8-9.
      1. Whether internal – our own strength
      2. Or external – the opposition of others

 

  1. Jesus promises great rewards for our faithfulness – vv. 9-13.
    1. He will take care of our battles – v. 9.
    2. He will rapture the church from the hour of testing – v. 10.
    3. He will honor us – vv. 11-13.

 

As the One who holds our lives in His hands, God allows different circumstances to shape, stretch, and drive us back to Him.
