The Big Idea: God answers the prayers of His people and judges the world, but the people do not repent.
- 1st trumpet – destruction of vegetation - 1/3 of the earth, 1/3 of trees & all grass – 8:1-7.
- 2nd trumpet – destruction of the seas - 1/3 of the ocean, its life and vessels – 8:8-9.
- 3rd trumpet – desolation of the fresh water - 1/3 of supply poisoned – 8:10-11.
- 4th trumpet – disruption of the heavenly luminaries affecting light on earth – 8:12-13.
- 5th trumpet / 1st WOE – 5-month-long demonic torture – 9:1-12.
- 6th trumpet – army from the east - 200 million-strong destroys 1.7 billion people – 9:13-21.
