OUTLINE
I. The world is a battlefield – v. 33.
A. The world is in the state of rebellion and opposes God – v. 33.
B. We should not expect anything but trouble in this world – v. 33.
II. Jesus offers peace – vv. 25-32.
A. Sometimes God’s direction is difficult to understand and His voice is hard to hear – vv. 25, 29-30.
B. (His Word, however, is always available and should be relied upon more than our feelings).
C. We’re to ask in Jesus’ name (at all times) – v. 26.
D. The Father loves to hear His children – v. 27.
E. Men may desert you, but God never will – vv. 31-32.
F. Jesus conquered the world with its problems and is the only one who can offer real and lasting peace in this world – v. 33.
Jesus Christ is the only source of peace in the combat zone of life in this world.
