How to Handle Sickness

I. God’s ability to cure any sickness does not always dictate His choice to do so – vv. 1-6.

A. He is able to cure any sickness because He is God
B. Because He is God and knows better than we do, He will not always heal us
II. God’s plan for our sickness may conflict with our expectations – vv. 7-9, 14.
A. His plan is always more comprehensive than our perspective – v. 7.
B. His desire will always be to increase our faith in the process – v. 8.
C. He will always supply the means for doing what He asks of us – v. 9.
D. We must be ready to stop those sinful practices which may lie at the root of our sickness – v. 14.
