OUTLINE
I. Loyalty to God will never make you popular with the world – vv. 1-13.
a. Loyalty to God is often misunderstood (Jesus’ brothers) – vv. 3-9.
b. Loyalty to God will not meet the overwhelming approval of the crowds – vv. 10-13.
II. Not all who claim to know God really do – vv. 14-19.
a. Those who know God, know His word – vv. 16-17.
b. Those who know God are interested in honoring Him – v. 18.
c. Those who know God can generally discern between good and evil – v. 19.
III. God is interested in the heart, not just going through the motions – vv.20-24.
